• Process: It refines traditional dry sift hash (kief) by using static electricity to remove residual plant matter. After initial sifting, a statically charged surface (like parchment paper or a nitrile glove) is gently swept over the collected material. Lighter, resinous trichome heads (glands containing cannabinoids and terpenes) are attracted to the static charge, separating them from heavier, unwanted plant debris.
• Characteristics: The result is a clean, potent, and often golden or light brown powder that can be pressed into a soft, malleable solid. It is prized for preserving the plant's full spectrum of natural flavors and aromas since no solvents (like ethanol or water) or heat are used in the primary separation process. This method can produce "full-melt" hash, the highest grade of hashish that leaves minimal residue when heated.
